Snakes

I just saw an article that was displaying a tiny snake. It was extremely small and lives in Barbados. I was creeped out. Just a few nights ago my daughter shot a copperhead next to my granddaughter’s little pool that her puppies play in. She called to me from the back porch to bring the rifle and a bullet. It was dark so I had to hold a flashlight. She aimed and that was the end of him and the little pool. Of course, the puppies had to check it out once it was over. Years ago, my children would shoot snakes that roamed our property. We let them use pellet guns. They did kill a fair amount although one of the boys accidentally shot my daughter in the thigh. We had to take her to the hospital and explain.  On this same property I shot snakes as well but with a real gun. One time there was one in my garage that I rolled over several times with my heavy duty car. It took several trips back and forth before it passed. As a young girl my grandfather taught me how to shoot a bebe gun. I have  taken lessons since then and prefer the nine milimeter. It’s quick with little kickback because I am a small person. What do you use to kill snakes? In the Good Gus series, there were snakes. In book three, “Cory Returns” a snake frightened Cory’s horse. In book twenty-five, “Did Dinosaurs Roam Pecos?,” a snake crept up to Katie while she was in her wheelchair. They are exciting books both in paperback and e-book form. The only snakes in “Misplaced Trust” are in the form of people. It is an interesting read in e-book form. The Good Gus Series is available online at Kindle, Nook and Waterstones. Hard copies, personally autographed, are available through our website www.goodgusbooks.com along with past blogs for your reading enjoyment.
