Honesty

There is a reason why people are cheated. Not only are the con people good, but they have sincere honesty so they believe others do too. Unfortunately, they are wrong. One of the things people do is to twist your words. That way it fits what they are trying to say.  Often they do it to control a conversation. With honesty you must be careful to control your words. If you say for example, “I didn’t mean that.” Your words are suddently twisted around. When you are open and honest people tend to exploit your vulnerability.  You could end doubting yourself as you are manipulated and made to feel bad. Then people hold things against you.  Many people who are too honest do not understand boundaries. They just always speak the truth which sometimes puts them in a spot. Then they end up with a problem when it would have been much better to stay quiet and not say anything. Honesty in your life makes you forget about your own privacy. It is important to maintain it. What makes this worse is often people make you feel guilty for your honesty. Sometimes you forget and breach another’s trust. When speaking it is better to think first and not regret what you say, don’t you agree? In the Good Gus series honesty is defintely stressed in all stories. As adults though, not quite everything applies. The series is readily available in both paperback and e-book form. There is very little honesty in “Misplaced Trust.” It is available in e-book form. The Good Gus Series is available online at Kindle, Nook and Waterstones. Hard copies, personally autographed, are available through our website www.goodgusbooks.com along with past blogs for your reading enjoyment.
