For many people who rely on SNAP, their days are numbered. What are they supposed to do? If you read about it you will see that it is a political issue. They may have health issues, can’t earn enough money to buy enough food, and in general just struggling to get by. Unless things change, Saturday many people will begin struggling even further just to get by and eat. I know someone who was recently lent money just to make it through the week. Stretching the money is not easy. There are also all the tariffs which are making it worse for the grocery shopper. I saw an article today about families wondering how they will manage. The groceries will start to have a difficult time as the large number of people who rely on SNAP will not be shopping nearly as much. There is also the possibility that foods will perish by sitting on the shelves with no buyers. I say that as I forgot to put a small piece of my Irish bread in the fridge and it molded. That upset me as I wasted a piece of food. We have dogs so nothing goes to waste. They eat anything leftover or that we don’t want. I imagine people will begin to make dishes that are low priced and freeze some now so as to stretch it as far as possible.
