The New Year is upon us. Many people party and watch sports on the first. I always made a ham and lemon meringue pie for my late father-in-law. People talk about their goals for the new year. They seem to be always the same – new job, more money and of course good health. Often individuals think that with the new year they should find new opportunities, start their own business, decide to do freelance work, etc. Many individuals plan to workout more which is why all the gyms have huge sales. However, many people quit sometime in February. If a person wants new goals, they should first start with following whatever their plan is. Concentration is the key. Others think about developing a budget which of course fails within a few months. Really good goals should be helping others, doing a kind deed once a week and trying to donate to the organizations that truly need help. I am a strong believer in St. Judes, Shriners and doctors without borders. In my mind children who need help didn’t start out with the medical difficulties that they require assistance for now. Considering others including family members is a good way to brighten your new year. Sometimes I think the worst part about families disagreeing is that they hold grudges. The old Smothers Brothers routines were a perfect example in which “Mom always liked you best.” Even as adults many siblings cannot get past it. Maybe it is about time they started, don’t you agree? Start the new year with positivity. In the Good Gus series there were only two sets of siblings; Johnny and Bronco and Andy and Katie. Try an e-book today your child might like it. In “Misplaced Trust” the new year is the time people plan a living trust or Will. The book will give you many answers. Look it up today in e-book.
