Tariffs are getting out of control. I saw an article today about a woman who bought a Barbie doll from Canada for around twenty-two dollars and was charged a tariff of over eight hundred dollars. That seems ridiculous. We all know everything is more expensive including foods at the grocery. However, Europe is now fed up. They believe that Trump is targeting NATO countries. They are our friends, why would he do that? Basicaly he wants to buy Greenland and they don’t want to sell. He informed all the NATO countries there would be a ten percent increase on February first and if an agreement wasn’t reached it would increase to twenty-five percent in June. Do you believe that is fair? People have been protesting but they have the right to say no. This is going to turn into a horrible mess. I personally like foods from Europe. I bake a fair amount and I love a product that I cannot find any more Simple Truth Organic dutch processed cocoa. My daughter has found, from Walmart, a cocoa from Germany and the Netherlands. The tariffs on new cars are also high so certain brands are not selling quite as well. The trouble is that people are struggling now as the price of literally everything has increased.
