Earthquakes

Earthquakes cause great devastation.  One time when I was living in New Hampshire we had a minor earthquake.  It was a surprise to everyone.  The quake in Turkey was caused by a large fault.  They have blamed terrorist on YouTube, but the scientists explained what happened. It was the result of a very large fault line. Now, of course, they are predicting an earthquake as bad as Turkey had in California.  That state has had them quite frequently.  They also have a large fault line which will cause an earthquake.  In one of my books, “The New Library,” there was an earthquake from Big Bend all the way to Pecos.  It scared the town but Sheriff Gus knew what it was.  There were also aftershocks.  Sheriff Gus knew what it was so they had a town meeting to help everyone understand.  In book nine, “Falling Trees,” it was decided to build a shelter for the townspeople to make sure everyone would be safe if another earthquake occurred. Pecos had established a library and Charlie, and several of the town folks had collected books.  They had just put up shelves when the rumble began.  Mary, from Mary’s Cafe’ and Charlie were in the new library with JC, Bronco and Heather when they felt it.  Fortunately, Sheriff Gus arrived and pushed everyone aside as the books began flying off the shelves.  The Good Gus Series is available online at Kindle, Nook and Waterstones. Hard copies, personally autographed, are available through our website www.goodgusbooks.com along with past blogs for your reading enjoyment.
