Most people have no idea what it is like to be impovished. They may be broke but not poor. There is a huge difference as poor people believe their lives will never change as do impoverished. Broke individuals are certain their lives will turn around. What is difficult to understand is that one in six Americans are millionaires. It is difficult to understand as the price of everything is so high. Ireland has been in protest over one week due to the cost of petrol/gas. Granted it is by the litre but it is still one hundred ninety-eight Euros and ninety-eight Euro cents. I can’t believe it. That is two hundred thirty-four dollars and seventy-nine cents. That is outrageous. In California it is steadily creeping up to over seven dollars. What is worse is that in America people are losing their jobs and while the government states everything is grand, no one can find decent paying jobs. so people are cutting back on food, electricity, and other essentials. There are times in all of our lives that we had to just start over. It was never ideal. Selling off personal possessions to start fresh sometimes is the best way. It beats being foreclosed or evicted and having your vehicles towed away. I remember an old episode of “Matlock” which describes this to perfection.
