Compromise

Our lives are made up of continual compromises.  It may not matter what the topic is but we all have to consider making a compromise.  Many of the TV shows and videos on Facebook clearly show individuals who do not believe in compromises.  It seems that it always needs to be their way or not at all.  The videos with the Karens’ are the worst.  They are certain that they are absolutely one hundred percent correct regardless of the matter. No one is always right and more often than not they are wrong over fifty percent of the time.  The need to always be looked at as a person who knows everything and doesn’t need to accept any concessions is not good.  It starts as children. Often parents cannot stand having continual issues with their children.  They may have had a long day at work or have a health issue.  Whatever the case may be they end up giving in just so their child will stop.  This is actually the beginning of temper tantrums. Over time it becomes worse and they tend to be abusive to their parent.  By the time the parent puts their foot down and says no it is just too late.  Teaching our children the right way to behave and that they connot always have their own way is painful in the beginning.  I know this from babysitting experiences when I was young.  The majority of children that I sat for were quite good.  However, once in a while there would be one child which was always a boy that was rude and demanding. I once put a child in a cold shower as he was so obnoxious.  Of course, the parents were upset with me and I never worked for them again which frankly was fine by me.  We do need compromise in the world to end all the fighting, crime and wars.  Maybe someday?
