Jerry Lewis

I saw an article yesterday about Jerry Lewis. When I wrote “Misplaced Trust” he is the type of person I had in mind. Everyone always believed he was fabulous because he was so funny and did the marathon every Labor Day for the MDA. In reality and in real life he was an entirely different person.  He was horrible to his biological children and treated them poorly. His fist wife was sickly and ended up in a care facility and once he passed, his then wife stopped making payments for her care. His children then had to scramble to pay for her. The man disinherited his biological children. He decided that the wife he had at the time of his passing should receive his millions along with his adopted daughter. This was unkind and cruel. His family stood by him through all types of events and circumstances. He should have treated them better. They are now contesting his Will which they truly really should.  The widow received more than enough compensation that she should have been fair to his biological children. Jerry Lewis was also apparently a tough person to work with and on occasion work for. A woman named Karen Sharpe certainly did not mince words about Jerry Lewis’s behavior.  He seemed to be under the impression that since he was giving a great role in a movie with a large salary that she was at his beck and call.  Basically, he expected her to be romatic with him and she refused. She even said she would quit. However, since the costumes were already made for her, he kept her on.  However, she was not allowed to speak to anyone and he would not rehearse with her. He definitely was not the swell guy everyone thought he was and that was just the tip of the iceberg. How do you feel about Jerry Lewis and he actons?
