Hopeless

Often there are times in life when people feel hopeless.I have even seen people just give up. They can’t look beyond whatever happened to them. It is not easy but this is the only life we have and we need to try to make the most of it. Many people in the south and southwest have lost everything. If their insurance doesn’t cover their lossess they will feel hopeless. In “Young Sheldon” his grandmother’s house was destroyed by a tornado. Her insurance would not cover her home so she basically lost everything. She was upset but she had family and a boyfriend who all stepped up to assist her. As a matter of fact, my daughter has a friend whose father lost his home last week due to the tornadoes. He is doing the best he can. He is continuing to work while he sorts out his own insurance issues. He is not hopeless but somewhat angry which is understandable.  In many of the TV shows, particularly the doctor/hospital type have scripts in which people do give up hope when they are diagnosed with cancer or a disabling disease.  Studies show, however, if a person remains positive, their chances incrfease of being cured or living longer with fewer issues.  Trying to be positive in life is not always easy. We all have problems and issues.  Facing them and solving them without becoming depressed or hopeless at times is difficult. Howevere, the best we can do is to move forward even if at a slow pace until we stop feeling hopeless and things change and improve don’t you agree? The Good Gus Series is available online at Kindle, Nook and Waterstones.
