Preacher

Today in the media news there was an article about a woman accusing a preacher of abuse.  Why is it that the people in autority and power feel it is acceptable to abuse others in such a manner? Over the years the trusted preacher has been publicized as the true culprit. They all claimed to whomever they were abusing that it was not immoral and was right as they were the preacher. I don’t think so but children believe that the preacher is a holy man and therefore unfortunately believe them. The same applies to all the priests over the years who harmed alter boys. Children really don’t know any better and they are taken advantage of. It is wrong on every level. The interesting fact about the preachers today is that they are all wealthy. Joel Osteen owns fifteen cars, is a multi-millionaire and calls himself a coach. If anyone took a look at their bank statements they would faint. Yet every Sunday they stand up in front of their congregation and ask for money.  When in reality this money could really be used to help truly poor people who cannot even feed their families. Most people fail to recognize that many families with little or nothing in the way of finances still work every day and try to earn money. All the talk about helping the needy is just that for many of these wealthy churches. Frequently on Facebook you see short clips about multi-millionaires looking for poor people who are trying but failing. Then they help them with a job, a home and money to lift them up to start fresh. My late husband’s now late aunt quit working for the United Way many years ago when she discovered that ninety-five percent of the money contributed was applied to the saleries of the upper echelon and only five percent actually helped people. Please understand I have nothing against any religious people as I have my own religion, but when a person does wrong deeds, they should be punished and removed from their sect don’t you agree?  Remember, my budge is free just email mae@misplacedtrustbook.com for your free copy.
