No Conscience

Have you ever met anyone that seemed to have absolutely no conscience? We were all toaught to do the right thing which is what my Good Gus series is about. Yet, there are people who seem to literally have no feelings about doing anything wrong. If a child starts off in school cheating becuase they have trouble learning, it may lead to other things. Years ago the schools didn’t offer so much help as they do today. When I homeschooled my teenage children during high school, I hired a tutor for algebra and science, both subjects that I am terrible at. My daughter finished with her high school diploma and my son spent his senior year with his friends at a public school.  His education, as I used approved programs that were actually schools, was so good that he floated through his senior year. The children that steal starting in elementary school due to either jealousy or lack of food frequently ended up doing much worse. Today the schools currently give free breakfasts and lunces although a new law coming out next year may end that program. I have seen videos where children recognized a starving child in their class and they all gave him a little of their lunches. When I went to school you either brought your own lunch, or in high school paid at the cafeteria. I made lunch for my children every day. My stepson, JC, in high school would eat a home breakfast, a second one at school and two lunches. He ate a snack when he came home and then took food to work at his part time job. When he came home I had dinner ready for him. It might be that children from poorer families feel that it is okay to steal and cheat to get by. Sometimes the kids from more affluent families have so much pressure to succeed that they do end up cheating. The individuals who grow up with no conscience go on to commit all types of crimes. The violent crimes are from mental issues. The white collar crimes are primarly from greed and jealousy of more successful people. The amount of white collar crime, particularly from older people, is atrocious. Those thieves have absolutely no conscience whatsoever. Do you know anyone with no conscience? I actually do.
