Sharing

Sharing is important at any age. We learn at a very early age particuarly if we have siblings. Only children learn how to share as that is the way they make friends. As individuals mature sharing slowly disappears. Just today I saw an article about millennials that have decided that they are no longer having children. It’s not just about sharing but also about everything that is going on in the world today. Many of them simply want freedom, prefer living in their parents’ home and limit their amount of time working. The thing about sharing is that I also think it has to do with divorce. Every day I see videos about men abandoning their families because they want a life that is all about them. They don’t want to share their money with their wife and kids. I saw one where the man completely abandoned his wife and daughter. At first they were devastated, but then the wife, who had always given sound financial advice to her husband started her own business. The husband did well at first and then he lost almost everything. He went to a financial advisory company to see if they could help him. When he was told the CEO would speak to him  he was thrilled. However, little did he know that the CEO was his ex-wife. He begged her for help and she not only refused but had the security throw him out.  That was karma. As a mother we share all the time and never give it a thought. Yet not all women are that way. My late girldfirend’s mother was a librarian. She worked when we were young which was rare. The dad did all the grocery shopping, cooking, and as young girls we even did the laundry. I don’t think sharing was at the top of her list unless it was about a book. How do you feel about sharing?
