Devasting Betrayals

All of a sudden when you least expect it someone you know such as a family member, best friend, husband or wife, parent, or any type of relative hurts you with a devastating betrayal. For example, I have seen this on social media and Facebook to give you a few ideas. A girl had a male best friend for over ten years. Then, without her knowledged he committed a crime and framed her. She ended up in jail and it took a while to prove her innocence before she was released and now he is serving time. I just watched a mystery movie created into a book by Mary Higgins Clark, and now  don’t laugh, that the maid did it. She killed his wife making it appear like an accident but the police were smarter. They, of course, arrested the husband. But not until he started a romance with a new younger shapely woman and then she was killed. They were sure it was him. Then, a co-worker whose father had started the wine business had a few incidents that failed in her death. Finally, the co-worker’s husband figured out that the maid was trying to kill her and saved her. They were all devasting betrayals. Another example of a devasting betrayal example. A woman finally broke up with her boyfriend who immediately turned around trying to have a romantic encounter with her best friend. All the time on Facebook are short reels about the younger sister stealing the older one’s husband. Talk about horrible. The worst ones are the sons or daughters that steal one parent’s home after one passes. They take all the money, disappear and leave them at an older age to find employment, a home and a vehicle. How do you feel about devasting betrayals? I hope everyone had a happy holiday. The Good Gus Series is available online at Kindle, Nook and Waterstones.
