Sometimes compliments are genuine and other times they are fake. In many of the TV shows and even short reels on Facebook the compliments are often not real. I saw a short comedey in which a man was romancing and complimenting a woman only to take all her money. In the end, her best friend, who also worked with her figured it out. The worst part was when he was caught, he began all of his phoney compliments to try and save himself. Obviously, it didn’t work. When we were in school, there were boys and girls who gave genuine complements. Rarely were we insulted unlike what occurs today. In the TV shows or the reels, mostly girls tend to be rude and snide towards other girls. There appears to always be one that is the leader of the group. She insults any girl whom she feels is beneath her. Often because their parents are rich, they are snobs and treat others as if they are beneath them. It’s not nice at all. I saw a show one time where the father accidently overheard his daughter insulting a girl who had very litle. He was livid. He gave her a good lesson. He took away all of her electronis, then went through her closet, gave the girl nice clothes and shoes, and took her allowance away for a month. The daughter was furious but there was nothing she could do. The old saying “Walk a mile in someone else’s shoes,” really hit home for her. After that, no one made fun of the poor girl.
