Sales Calls

I don’t mind sales calls as everyone needs to earn an income. What I dislike is the five and six calls trying to sell me some type of insurance. Whether it is medical or auto insurance it doesn’t matter. The medical because I am older informs me that I can collect large sums of money if I apply now. I am already paying for health insirance and I politely tell them “No thank you,” and hang up. That doesn’t matter because for example they will continue to call five to six times a day. While I was typing this blog, they called me today. I don’t believe people should be rude, but I also think they need to stop calling so many times. What makes this even worse is that there are new sales calls called smishing. They are scammers who are pretending to be helping when actually cheating and stealing is their goal. This type of behavior has been going on for many years. Often companies will set up in poor countries promising them a better wage. I don’t know if they receive it but I have asked in the past what country the sales callers were in. Many of these businesses rotate hours to serve various parts of the world that understand English. I once spoke to a person who told me about their two shifts She also said they had better working conditions and reasonable pay. Whether they knew what their sales calls actually were is debatable. How many sales cals do you receive a day? I guess you could say that technically Sheriff Gus sold Bad Bart the idea of an ice cream Sundae.  “Pecos Meets Bad Bart” was my first book and it was originally published in Dublin, Ireland.  “Misplaced Trust” was written  and copywritten and will be published in America. It is the type of book that will catch your eye. If you prefer hardcopy, “Misplaced Trust” will be available within thirty days at a book shop near you. The Good Gus Series is available online at Kindle, Nook and Waterstones. Hard copies, personally autographed, are available through our website www.goodgusbooks.com along with past blogs for your reading enjoyment. Now available audio and videos for the Good Gus series on YouTube! Digitizing for all the books are available now on YouTube! “Misplaced Trust” is now available on Amazon in e-book form.
