Sears

Sears was once the largest retailer in the United States. When I was young it was one of the largest department stores in America. Now they are down to five. When I was young their stores had at least three to four levels. They also had quality clothes. I once bought a silk suit to wear for Christmas. They also did all types of repairs and oil changes. Up until recently in Las Vegas you could buy a quality oil change. They also carrried Lands End clothing as well. Now, of course everything has changed, closed down and some have even disappeared. Now even groceries are closing. For example, Walmart is not the largest food chain any more. There are several other groceries selling more for less. Aldi which is a chain  in Europe has now gone past Walmart. There is a difference in that Walmart sells clothes and Aldi does  not. Part of the reason I think Sears has been closing stores is that they can’t compete with Walmart and Target. It is a shame as their oil changes were a decent price and fast. I also think many other shops competed with Sears for clothes which reduced their overall sales. Did you ever shop at Sears? It started in 1892 during the Good Gus era. An e-book is ideal for a child at home. “Misplaced Trust” had nothing to do with Sears. There were too many greedy people and true crime in the chapters. Give it a try in an e-book. Visit the site and download an e-book. The books are available in e-book from the sites www.goodgusbooks.com and www.misplacedtrust.com. “Misplaced Trust” has a five-star rating on Amazon. It is about true crime and greed.
