When couples get married they believe it will last forever. However, very few do. When I was young you dated for a while and then marriage was inevitable. There were teenagers who acted as if they were married and the girl became pregnant. There was a girl in my high school that dated a boy who were madly in love. She became pregnant and left school temporarily. No one ever knew what happend to the baby. When she returned to school she and the boy picked up where they left off and baby number two appeared. At that point they both left school and we never knew what happened. The problem with marriage back then is that people married withou really knowing each other. There were many marriages where they girl was expecting and they were focrced to marry. Of course, the marriages only lasted until the problems became too much and the girl moved back to her parents with the children. In today’s world people date a variety of individuals and when they believe a person may be the one they don’t rush into it. There are numerous reels on Facebook about forcing adult children to marry for the combination of uniting businesses. Often the reels have strangers marrying just to escape their parents’ choices. They called them contract marriages but in the end they fell in love. It is so easy to divorce that one little fight, particularly with movie stars ends the marriage and they move on. Mickey Rooney was married five times. His last wife stayed to the end.The first time they had a fight he said, “I guess we get a divorce.” She said, “What are you talking about? We resolve this and go back to the way we were.” He was flabergasted but he remained happy and so did she. How do you feel about marriage?
