Why does predujice seem to be returning? It never really stoppped but it was toned down significantly. Most children played with other children not noticing any differences. One time I took my daghter to a special dance lesson in the next state. They had lessons for several days and at first she and I were alone in the hotel. My late husband and son came towards the last few days as they learned a variety of new steps and then there was a show at the end. One of the kids that participated was a little person. Most of the girls ignored him except my daughter. When he was alone in the jacuzzi for children she joined him. I saw his grandmother and suggested she take a nap and I would watch her grandson. She was thrilled. No one joined them but they still had a lot of fun. Predujice was still in existence but on a slightly lesser level. Before I went to business school, I was forced to attend beauty school. It was the first time I met someone from another country, the Dominican Republic. Most of the girls didn’t even talk to her. I was paired up with her for a specific lesson and frankly I saw no difference between her and anyone else. She was nice to me so I thought she was fine. I did quit because it was not my forte. I found a job in a hospital which began my interest in food. Now there are individuals coming from South Africa to be emmigranted and eventuraly become U.S. citizens in America. Many people are objecting incluidng an Espiscopal Church. Everyone should be treated fairly regardless of race, religion, or national origin and not because of any other reason, don’t you agree? There are a variety of ethnicities in the Good Gus series and everyone gets along. I thought that was important for all young readers.
