Easiest Answer

People automatically assume that the easiest answer is always the right answer. That is not always true. Everyone always seem to believe that if an event or a predicament has an easy solution that it is correct. How often have you found that to be the exact opposite? Let me give you an example. A plumber came one day to unclog my sink. He said the easiest answer was to put a huge amount of ice cubes down the drain and then run the garbage disposal. It cleared it for about one day. I then had to call a second plumber, who charged even more, to use a snake to unclog it. Having lived in Ireland where we do not have garbage disposals, using one in America has been costly to me. I have returned to all garbage in the bin and out it goes. This also applies to fixing cars. Sometimes a simple diagnostic test from a local auto supply shop can easily solve your dilemma. If it turns out to be too complicated, then you have no option but to go to a repair shop. However, you know what is wrong and you will have an idea of the cost. This way you can call a few shops and see who has the best references on the internet followed by the best prices. In the Good Gus series the easiest answer during those times was often the best. In the “Cattle are Restless” Cory had the town folks place bales of hay to stop a cattle stampede. Simple yet immediately effective. It is available both in paperback and in e-book form. In “Misplaced Trust” the easiest answers are not always right. It will fill your brain with new thoughts.
