
People’s intentions are not the same as their actual choice. When a person has the intention, for example, of not drinking on a specific day, then they do it. They can say anthing they want but they made the choice to drink. No one forced them. They simply decided. Then they moan and groan that they did not intend to do it yet they made the conscious choice. It is true when people are on a diet and they cannot resist the fast food as they drive by. Of course they have the same thoughts but it doesn’t matter. People spend a great deal of time talking, but it is the action that matters. Everyday individuals lay out their intentions. Then they try, think positive thoughts, and withut meaning to they fail. Whatever they didn’t want to do, they smply do. Then they have regrets and decide to change the next day. However, it takes a real amount of fortification to stick to their plan. I am assuming that is why they have AA, Gamblers annoymous, and so many others. Then, unfortunately, like many programs they fall off the wagon. They get back on and I assume each time it lasts longer and gets better. It is possible that illegal drugs do stop people because they end up in jail. Most people tend to regulate their lives. It keeps them from falling into bad habits. The weight loss became easier with medication. However, like everything else, people either quit or a new product is introduced. Do you start your day with good intentions?
