Self Doubt

Do you often have self doubt? I imagine almost everyone does have it at one time or another. When I wrote the Good Gus series everyone had confidence. I wanted children to see that confidence and latch onto it. I think frequently auto accidents occur because the driver has self doubt. They may be afraid to pass, may slow down which will cause them to be rearended,  broadsided, cut in and out of lanes, etc. It is important to pay attention when driving. They are now talking about self driving cars. My cousin sent me a new notice that they are starting in Boston, Massachusetts. They have a fair amount of traffic. I will not lie, I would be afraid of a self driving cars in traffic. I would think that the real test would be Los Angeles, California. There are times when people are performing a task when self doubt takes over. They may be afraid to do the job, believe they will fail, or just don’t even try. For exxample, I have tried to do the beautiful decorating on a cake. I fail every time. I have no self doubt what so ever. The cake is delicious but it is not beautifully decorated. Truthfully, the taste is more important, don’t you agree? I am sure there have been times in your life when self doubt has creeped into your mind. What did you do?
