We all have brains. Some work better than others. Dr. Adam Gazzaley, a neuroscience professor at the University of California, once said we are burdened with ancient brains trying to focus and survive in a high-tech world. He is probably right. Modern technology overwhelms many of us. I think our brains are used to the old ways with gradual technology changes. Not in the world today where everything changes so fast you cannot even keep up. You may feel that you need to stock up on all types of foods because that was the old way. Of course, today, with inflation, taxes, recalls, etc. it is a better idea to keep staples on hand. I know many people have difficulty losing weight. It might be that their old brains worry about a famine so their efforts become useless. The trouble with our brains is that they do not know what is real and what is fake. I have heard the coaches and manifestation people repeat those very words. They have said if you think you can’t afford it then your brain will agree with you. If you believe it is too difficult to make money, then once again your brain will agree. If you tell your brain to stop being afraid because its main goal all along has been to keep you safe, then it will listen if you remind it that you are safe. Where do you think you will be in five years? If you believe everything will be the same, then convince yourself to start changing but in baby steps. It just might work, don’t you agree? In the Good Gus series they did have old brains and thought this way. It gives the young reader a glimpse of life at that time. The books are available in paperback and e-book form. “Misplaced Trust” I must say that the Successor Trustee either works with new technology or goes old school and often decides that they are one hundred percent right.
