Lately there have been many reels or videos on facebook about family ownership. It deals primarily with parents deciding that one of their daughters should marry a rich man because they will be paid a great deal of money. Mind you they are grown women but the parents don’t care. I have even seen them slap them and ordered them to marry someone who will give them millions. When the daughters refuse they frequently lock the females up until the day of the wedding. I saw one where a woman was supposed to marry a wealthy man. During the ceremony the groom slipped and said her sister’s name instead of hers. Suddenly she realized he had been cheating on her for the past year. Right at that moment his brother, who was in a wheelchair was at the ceremony. The bride refused to marry the groom. She then asked the brother to marry her who asked if she was sure as he was sitting in the wheelchair. She said yes. Her parents started screaming, but the minister married them anyways. Of course, later it was discovered he not only could walk but was rich. I saw a second one in which a second wife and her daughter tried to cheat a man’s military daughter out of her inheritance. They felt they deserved the money. The girl showed up and was told by her late father’s attorney that she had to be married by the end of the day to receive her inheritance. She left and found a man who was being forced to be married to someone he didn’t wish and she asked him to marry her. He agreed and they married instantly. Not only was his family furious but so was hers when she returned with a marriage certificate and him. The widow and her daughter lost their tempers. They felt that everything belonged to them.
