Elder Abuse

As a paralegal, I have learned about elder abuse, partically in their finances. Today there was an article about a family suing their father’s ex-girlfriend. She took hundreds of thousands of dollars of his money to buy gifts for herself  and other items equaling over four hundred thousand dollars or three hundred forty-three thusand, eight hundred thirty-four Euros. That is a significant amount. People don’t notice what truly happens with elder abuse. There are many individuals that are cheated for large sums of money. I read about a woman in New York City that was robbed of over seven hundred thousand dollars or six hundred two thousant one hundred eighty Euros. She was cheated and had trouble trying to obtain her funds back. Everyone receives spam calls everyday. My phone service states spam. I don’t answer it. Once the call goes through I click block and then delete There are so many companies that are spam and steal as much as they can. Part of the problem is that older people are not aware of all the new ways to be robbed. That is why elder abuse is so prevalent. Have you been cheated? I left that out of the Good Gus series. I didn’t think it was necessary. Give an e-book a try for the child in your life.  “Misplaced Trust” has true crime, greed and elder abuse all of which is true. It is an easy down-load as an e-book.
