There are many foods that contain too many chemicals. According to the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention, sugary based cereals contain high levels of white sugar while not contributing any fiber. There are cereals that also have too much fat. This is true of children, teens and even young adults diets. I give my family organic fresh fruit and my homemade muffins for breakfast. There are good cereals such as oatmeal, farina, puffed wheat or rice just as a few examples. I know I have written about this before but processed meats are full of chemicals. You can purchase bacon, hot dogs and a few deli meats that do not contain chemicals specifically sodium nitrate. Soda and soft drinks contain high fructose corn syrup, dyes and too much sugar. I truthfully do not like soda. Microwave popcorn contains high levels of PFAS which according to the Evironmental Protectional Agency is full of environmental health risks. The artifical butter flavorings are not good for your health either. I like to make it in a pan on the stove. It is tastey. Frozen pizza is full of salt, refined flour and meats with nitrates. I have often made my own pizza minus the meats, and excessive salt. I do cook with organic bread flour. Deli meats were invented in Germany in the eighteenth century and moved to the United States in the nineteenth century. I never discussed them in the Good Gus series. The e-books bring joy to a child’s life. The only way chemicals fit into “Misplaced Trust” is when people passed from eating too many. Then family members tried stealing, commiting true crime and greed. Give an e-book a try. You may like it. Visit the site and download an e-book. The books are available in e-book from the sites www.goodgusbooks.com and www.misplacedtrust.com. “Misplaced Trust” has a five-star rating on Amazon. It is about true crime and greed.
