Escape

Most people in life wish to escape their reality.  It is one of the reasons people try to go on holiday so much.  They want the chance to not think about their daily life, bills, routine, job, not to mention the myriad of problems many individuals seem to have. That is the easy part being away.  Returning is not quite fun.  The sad part is that people who need to escape often delve into drugs, alcohol, unscrupulous behavior and more. It’s only closing out the world for a short period only to have it reappear.  Many people try to start new lives, careers and meet a new companion.  Sometimes it works but the truth is reality is difficult.  However, if we face it then the fear is gone and we can move on. There have been several videos on Facebook and TV shows in which a person has faked their own death to escape their life, husband or wife, job, crimes, etc.  Eventually, they resurface which never goes over well.  I have seen shows where a former wealthy person who had lost everything but had a large life insurance policy disappear and had a partner who was the beneficiary.  Once they were declared legally dead, the partner collected the money and disappeared.  We all make choices on a daily basis.  We have the opportunity to make our lives better or worse.  It is all up to us.  In the Good Gus series there are animals that escape and are incorporated into the stories but in a positive manner. The Good Gus Series is available online at Kindle, Nook and Waterstones. Hard copies, personally autographed, are available through our website www.goodgusbooks.com along with past blogs for your reading enjoyment. Digitizing for all the books are available now!  Books one and two are now available on the Tractor Supply website. “Misplaced Trust” will be available this month.
