It is very sad when you read the news to discover the abuse of trust from religious leaders, teachers, actors, political leaders, stepparents, parents and relatives. I read today that a priest who was quite abusive to young women in Bangor, Maine has been transferred to Vanderbilt University in Tennessee. He was in a position of trust and he completely abused it with several young women. Now that he has left that area is he doing it again? The trail begins soon for Danny Masterson. Several women have stepped forward. Often when actors were idolized, women believe they are trustworthy. Sadly, over the years many females have realized that they are wrong. A person in a position of trust should never betray it. In my book “Misplaced Trust,” which is about my experiences as a paralegal, in the first few years of doing this work, I was shocked at the abuse the heirs did to each other, other family members, and anyone receiving a gift from a trust. The people who put their trusts together, primarily parents, would have been extremely disappointed by the abuse of trust they had placed on their Successor Trustees.
