I saw on the “Equalizer” a character complaining that we can no longer disagree with anyone or anything. She was right. Now if your opinion is not the same as someone else’s all types of things occur. Sadly, some are worse than others. It seems lately that people are taking out all their grievances on anyone who does not share their opinion. There was a time when people might argue, primarily adults, and then shake hands and go have a coffee or a drink. Now it is turning into revenge, violence, and bodily harm to others. It is difficult to understand as the United States is supposed to be a Christian country, so why all the violence? Maybe we need to go back to the olden days where people respected each other, looked out for their neighbors, used manners and were polite. Now if a neighbor doesn’t like your trees, shrubs, landscape, your pets, or because as the list is endless, there are issues. If you live in an HOA they will file complaints. If they see you they will complain. I have even seen neighbors cut down bushes and put up fences on what they assumed was their property, but by having the property surveyed, they were suddenly in the wrong and had to pay damages and make repairs. Hopefully, people will begin to realize that their opinion is not the only one that matters. The Good Gus Series is available online at Kindle, Nook and Waterstones.
