Deciding What is Right

Often we are at a crossroads in deciding to do what is right.  It doesn’t necessarily mean that we are doing the wrong thing such as lying, cheating or stealing.  Sometimes we have to really think and plan to make the right decision.  For example, a person may decide to purchase a home.  It is a huge decision.  They may have looked at a variety of homes wondering which would be the best for them. It could be the perfect home but the commute is too long. They may love a particular home but it is slightly out of their budget.  There are so many choices and even obstacles in making a logical decision. So deciding what is right for them is quite complicated.  As parents we are or were forever wondering about deciding what was right for our child or children. We may have listed the pros and cons for example at a school choice.  In the end, we can only do the very best we can.  The child or children may end up going to a great school or one that is below standards and has difficult and unruly students who bully.  This same data applies to purchasing a vehicle.  Should you buy new or used? Can you afford the payments? Will the used vechicle have a warranty?  So many questions to ponder. It’s not easy. Trying to make the correct decision requires careful thought and consideration. That is why often people procrastinate until it is too late and then they are in a situation where they must decide immediately. It may ormay  not even work out. In the Good Gus series deciding what is right was the basic theme of all books.  This is also appliable when you read the chapters of “Misplaced Trust.” So many individuals made horrible choices which, of course, included lying, cheating and stealing from their siblings and relatives.
