When someone tells you that you can’t do something ignore them. People are always telling others reasons why they can’t do things such as they are not smart enough, they don’t have the right skills, they are from a poor family, they don’t have enough money, they aren’t attractive enough, etc. None of that matters. What counts is that if you believe you can do then go for it. Often we get bogged down with ridiculous details that are irrelevant. For example, let’s say you have an idea. It might be good or someone else may have already tried it. However, your idea is slightly better. Just enough to make a difference. If the second someone tells you that you can’t, tell them to forget it. When I first started writing books, the most important thing in my life was that I wanted to write and I loved it. All the other details were not in my head. Of course, as I went down the road I realized that just because you can write doesn’t mean you will be published. I started off and had my first book published in Dublin, Ireland. It is in five libraries in Dublin County. I proceeded to try to figure out what to do next. I took each step and began to work it. By the time I had written a few more, I was on a weekly radio show at five every Sunday. Before COVID I had over one hundred thousand viewers from around the world every week. I had printed a few more books and they were being sold at the Miramar Base in San Diego, California, Balboa Park, and a few other locations. Of course, after COVID all of my sales disappeared. I do have thrity-three children’s books, all copy written and ready to go. I also have which if you are a follower “Misplaced Trust.” There were a few times I was told that I would fail. I never gave up. If someone tells me I can’t then that makes me try harder. What do you do if someone says to you that you can’t?
