Many people are miserable at work whether at home or in an actual workplace. They hate the routine, the hours, their co-workers, supervisors, managers, and even the actual work. If everyone loved their jobs there would be less disruptions in the workplace. Sadly, they do not. Some individuals are opting for work at home jobs which many assume allows a person to slack off. The truth is that this a hard no. I worked at home before it was even heard of. When my late husband and I started a contact business, our close friend, the late Franny, redid a room above our garage. He even put in a bathroom with a shower and a closet. The closet was for the change of clothes for the employees. Many came to work wearing everyday clothes and then changed into dress clothes for client lunches. It cut down on the cost of dry cleaning, extra dress wear, laundry, etc. They all loved it. It was quiet as it was on a quiet road in what was then a small town. Most of the housewives in my aea thought I really had free time and would often ask to drop their kids to play with my children. I think their attitude towards me was condescending. What they failed to realize was that I did work every day and classified every single CV/resume for all the contract jobs. Today, however, everything has changed. Some of the individuals who do work at home are still unhappy. It really boils down to the fact that they hate their jobs. I have been a paralegal for twenty-four years and I tired of it. People have problems, make messes and then the absolute worst part is that they expect myself and Miss Patty to fix all their issues and the attorney should not charge them anything. Their attitude is appauling. Yes, Miss Patty and I are miserable at work but it is what we know. Are you miserable at work? The Good Gus Series is available online at Kindle, Nook and Waterstones.
