Setting a good example is something we all should do every single day. Yet people find the notion of setting a good example unrealistic. I happen to like the series, “Elsbeth” which is on Paramount. She tends to always try to set a good example and because of her behavior her co-workers have come to appreciate her. So much so that they gave her the best surprise gift ever for Christmas, her son! He was supposed to visit his dad but somehow they convinced the both of them that he should visit her. It was a wonderful moment of thoughtfulness from her coworkers. We start out as parents trying to set a good example but many times life gets in the way. We come home angry from work, or if we work at home we still have a bad day. Husbands and wives or partners tend to take their feelings out on each other and sometimes the children. It is not the best way to approach dinner or end a day. Everyone always talks about being kind during the holidays and often many people are. However, I have seen in a few shows with Christmas themes, where hundreds of men that the police refer to as the con Santas be cheaters. They are out on the sidewalks pretending to collect for charity, but in reality it is a scam. One of the reasons I suggest donating a book or a few books to children in hospitals or an Angel tree is you have the opportunity to know where your gift is going. I hope you will consider the Good Gus series as it will bring joy to a sick child or one on your list. Don’t forget the adults who love to read.
