Household Troubles

  Every family has household troubles. There are families that look perfect to the outside world but they are not. They disagree about many subjects.  In any of the TV family shows, there were always arguments. The parents did not even win all the time. When a group of people live in a home, everyone forms their own habits and ideas of how everything should go. Eating is often difficult.  One person may like meat, another fish, still others will dislike a variety of vegetables.  When I was young you were forced to eat whatever was placed in front of you on the table. I disliked this intensely. That was why I always sat next to my grandfather because I could easily slip all the foods I hated onto his plate.  It was easy.  Families used to argue about TV shows but now they have several televisions plus computers and tablets.  Anyone can watch anything they desire.  When I was young I really wanted to watch the movie ‘Top Hat’ which starred Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire.  I was punished for a minor infraction and was not allowed to watch it.  It was a tough punishment as I had been looking forward to watching that movie for weeks. The other issues families have is that they may disagree on politics. No two people generally in a family agree on candidates, election results and all the decisions that follow. It is fairly easy to understand why so many families have household troubles.  In the Good Gus series I had single parent families along with mother and father families.
