Torture

Torture comes in a variety of forms.  Anxiety is one of the worst.  People spend so much time worrying that they are continually upset.  They worry about every little thing rather than look at the big picture. The trouble is that worrying never solves anything and you just torture yourself with what ifs. For many individuals, anxiety is a genetic disorder.  Their parents, grandparents and other relatives may have or had it. Many people take medications to get past it.  With marijuana legal in many areas, it is another form of relaxing and helps to reduce the negative thoughts.  Obviously, there are other types of torture such as in wars and prison. Many of the veterans who returned home from being in prison camps never truly recovered from the terrible things that were done to them.  Even bullying is a form of torture.  It is always on the Facebook videos.  These individuals believe they can do no wrong and think it is fine to hurt others.  While building up their nonexistent egos, they frequently go too far.  The narcissists are perfectionists in this area as well.  They know exactly how to inflict mental anguish, physical pain and ideas that make an individual believe they are crazy.  They do all this because they know they are inferior but for them it is all about control.  In the Good Gus series there was never any form of torture of any type. The Good Gus Series is available online at Kindle, Nook and Waterstones. Hard copies, personally autographed, are available through our website www.goodgusbooks.com along with past blogs for your reading enjoyment. Digitizing for all the books are available now!  Books one and two are now available on the Tractor Supply website. “Misplaced Trust” will be available this month.
