Work Ethics

Often there are companies that fire people because they have a complete lack of work ethics. I saw an article about a man who worked at a company doing deliveries. When he came back from his first delivery, the manager said there wasn’t another one yet. He said he would do the dishes to fill in the time. The employee said, “That’s women’s work. I don’t do women’s work.” The manager fired him immediately. What type of person thinks like that? As we are all supposed to be equal, explain to me why it is okay for females to lay bricks, hammar nails, work in construction, do deliveries and so much more? I would never want to know that man. Many people have little or no work ethics. I know a man who would be repeatedly fired. Why because he was always late. He had millions of excuses but they just didn’t matter. He always gave some lame excuse as to why he he was late but after the first few no one believed him. He told his mate that they didn’t like him, his work was better than everyone elses’, etc. How ridiculous was all of that. There are also the newer workers who find ways to not really work when there. Many tend to not to complete work when at home. I have worked at home for many years and I find it easier. No commuting, bringing food, dressing appropriately, tolerating the other people who actually don’t work, etc. I find it much easier for everything. Do you work in an office or at home? In the Good Gus series everyone worked everywhere. Charlie had a print shop, Dr. Moore had an office as did Sheriff Gus, Mary had a cafe’, Ray had a blacksmith shop and Joe Kelly had a ranch. As new books were written there were new characters with new professions. In “Misplaced Trust” technically the Successor Trustee or the Executor have jobs. Many, which is why I wrote the book, had no work ethics. The Good Gus Series is available online at Kindle, Nook and Waterstones.
