Inflation

Every week when I go to the grocery and other stores and the prices have automatically increased.  I was looking at a quart of paint on line with free delivery.  I waited one week and it went up one dollar or 1.11 Euro. I still ended up making the purchase but only because the cost of petrol prohibited me from spending the money to drive into town. Fortunately, the egg shortage has passed and the prices have dropped but not to what they once were. Food items we purchase on a weekly or depending where you live a daily basis have continued to increase.  The staple items are moving up on a slow and steady basis.  Now when we go to the grocery we really have to plan ahead to make the most of our money. The other day I saw an article about Whoopie Goldberg. She had walked off the show “The View” because she disagreed with her co-hosts.  There was a discussion about individuals taking selfies while at a Marinda Lambert concert.  The pictures were of the people not the singer.  She felt it was insulting.  What really threw me about this article was the cost of the concert tickets.  They were over sever hundred dollars or over seven hundred seventy-seven Euros. The cost of one ticket is more than many minimum wage earners salary. I really found the price shocking.  We are all coping with inflation in many ways.  In many sections of the world the price of a new or used home has decreased but only due to lack of sales.  The politicians blame each other for inflation but they are all to blame.  The debt in many countries and particularly the United States inflation has risen due to many reasons. Of course, the people in political  office blame the previous staffers, the other parties and almost anything or anyone they believe they can prove are at fault.  The bottom line is that inflation hurts everyone.  As they continue to increase minimum wage the prices of all goods and services will rise as well, don’t you agree?
