Tests

We are all familiar with tests. We were tested in school and studied to pass exams.  We have had all types of medical tests to make sure we are in good health.  Lately, however, I have seen many videos on Facebook about families testing their children and grandchildren.  These are particularly applicable to wealthy individuals who do not want their money to be wasted after they are gone. Most of the videos have  a grandfather doing the testing.  He placed one of his employees on the sidewalk along a street that his grandchildren passed everyday.  The person who was  sitting on the sidewalk looked homeless. The grandfather was hiding as he watched his tests.  A child passed by and the fake homeless man asked  if the money was his or hers.  Most said yes and took it.  They then  proceeded to walk away while the grandfather was secretly watching.  Several children passed by and all picked up the money and kept it.  Finally, one child passed by and saw the money.  He immediately told the homeless man he had dropped some cash. The boy then handed him the money.  The homeless man tried to give it back to the boy but he refused.  He said if someone lost that money that the homeless man needed it more and he should keep it. He then walked away.  Instantly, the grandfather knew that the honest child would become his heir.  It is almost a shame that people do not do that in real life. I imagine if they did I would not have had all the experiences as a paralegal that qualified me to write “Misplaced Trust.” Although, greed will overtake everyone and they will fight a living trust or a Will.
