Using a Wheelchair

There are many videos on Facebook about disabled people using a wheelchair. I saw a video recently that  really struck me.  Here is the story.  A woman using a wheelchair approached a restaurant.  She was dismissed almost instantly. She asked if it was because she was sitting in a wheelchair.  The host said it was because she was wearing sneakers. She waited until she saw a woman in high heels and offered to buy them at a very high price. The woman accepted and they made the switch. The disabled woman returned to the host station and she pointed out that she had changed her shoes.  He tried to make excuses as to why she shouldn’t be in that restaurant.  Finally, he gave up and seated her.  Her waiter was unbelievably rude. Whatever item she asked for he claimed they didn’t have it.  Finally, he was forced to give her something.  While she was eating a couple sitting behind her decided that they wanted to dance.  The man tripped over the wheelchair and he immediately lost his temper and complained.  The host and now the manager came to her table to resolve the issue.  They both decided that she needed to move and forced  her into the very back of the restaurant.  She still had a difficult time obtaining food.  Finally, she asked for help to the restroom.  The  host totally lost it.  The manager came back as well.  They both were rude telling her she had to leave the restaurant.  This is the absolute best part.  She then stood up from the wheelchair and said she would be delighted to leave.  She told them her name as she was a famous food critic.  The restaurant employees began making excuses and trying to convince her not to write the article.  She explained that she had received complaints from people and decided to check it out herself.  She also said to the people that they could stop with the excuses as they would not have a job after her article.  I loved that just desserts for those two discriminating individuals.  What do you think?
