Superficial

Many people in life are superficial. I once worked witth a woman who was extremely superficial. She pretended to be nice all the time but the moment the manager was not around, she was completely different.  Her attitudes vascilated on a daily basis.  She was the secret mistress of the manager but we all knew it.  He was married which was so unfair to his wife.  She frequently worked in the office until the manager told her to work at home. The other women in the office saw right through her.  I never liked her and avoided working with her as much as possible. Superficial people are well know in the movie industry.  They go out of their way to gain favor for good parts in movies and TV shows.  Yet, in real life many of them are not very pleasant.  When the gossip people or news columnists write about them the truth comes out.  Many believe they are above everyone and should be catered to.  All the people who work on a movie studio or TV studio should be treated decently.  After all they support the movies and shows with their daily work even the janitor.  People forget the value of individuals who are part of a team and work on a consistent daily basis. I have seen a Facebook video previously a few times in which the CEO has posed as a janitor.  He is not well known in the office so by wearing a wig he completely disguised himself.  He does  good job but he also gets to know his employees.  One man in particular often insulted a woman who did a variety of clerical work including his. He felt she should be wearing designer clothes. Not only could she not afford the high prices but her salary went towards taking care of her mother who was slowly healing from a serious illness. She was nicely dressed, clean and neat. One day the CEO heard the whole conversation.  When the woman’s boss told her to dress upscale or she would be let go, it made the CEO angry. The next day he appeared without the wig and invited the manager into his office.  Once he told him he was inconsiderate of the employess the manager began to back pedal and deny everything.  Even the CEO could see how superficial he really was.  Of course, he was fired and the woman was promoted.  Have you ever worked with anyone who was superficial?
