Bad manners now exist everywhere. For example, have you ever been at a restaurant with a person and saw them lick their fingers. I have and it completely turned me off from eating. That is what a napkin is for. Chewing loudly while eating is quite unpleasant to hear. Wiping their mouths with the back of their hand rather than sing a napkin is unsightly. Using a fork or spoon that they have eaten with to grab some butter to put on bread. Not washing their hands and then diving into bags of chips, candy or anything that should by removed by a spoon. If there is a rough piece of meat, spitting it out rather than using a napkin to remove it discretely. We all grew up with manners so what happened? Did these individuals see others doing this poor behavior and think it was acceptable? We get upset with family members who drink out of the milk bottle directly. What ever happened to eating etiquette? I sent my children to an etiquette class to make sure I didn’t miss anything. They would never be so disgusting in their eating habits. Yet people seem to accept it. This is also true of either men or woman letting a door slam in your face. I always say thank you when someone holds the door for me and tell them that they must have a wonderful mother who taught them good manners. They always smile when I say it. How do you feel about bad manners? Even though it is Thanksgiving next week in America, the grocery is full of Christmas decorations everywhere.
