Innocent

In many countries, America included, the legal theory is innocent until proven guilty. Many people believe they are prefect and have never done anything wrong. This includes Elon Musk in an article today on the net. Social media, however was quickly correcting him in a big way. If you stop and think about it, his trucks are falling apart and injuring people. That is not exactly right. No one is completely innocent of anything. People fib when they don’t want to hurt someone’s feelings. Is that wrong, not really, but you still can’t call yourself innocent. Over the years there were many individuas who were railroaded into pleading guilty or circumstancial evidence was used which destroyed their lives. Many years ago groups began developing to find the truly innocent people no longer guilty and released from prison or jail. These are the people who do a truly special kindness. When we were young, we did fib and often were caught. Sometimes the punishments were severe and other times it was just a loss of TV, radio, going out with our friends or being forced to do extra chores. One time I arrived home one minute late from a party with my friends, I was punished by no TV, no friends, no activities, and lots of extra chores. This lasted for six weeks. It was not fun. Today if a child is punished there is so much more to take away. Have you ever been innocent of something and yet been accused of being guilty? In the Good Gus series the children were lightly punished. In the book, “Run Blackie Run” Liam and Frankie do get into trouble for straying off the path to Judge Ross’s ranch, but I never said what it was. The series provides lessons that the children don’t realize while enjoying the books. Books in e-book and hard copy are available. There are numerous lessons about a living trust in “Misplaced Trust.” It is an ideal read to get a handle on peparing for later plus it is interesting as many people have told me. If you prefer the hardcopy it will be available within thirty days at a bookshop near you. The Good Gus Series is available online at Kindle, Nook and Waterstones. Hard copies, personally autographed, are available through our website www.goodgusbooks.com along with past blogs for your reading enjoyment.
