The Truth

As we travel through life, we often discover that the truth is not what people speak. For several weeks Miss Patty and I have been dealing with a client who cannot stop lying.  She made a mistake and now she is harassing everyone to try to solve her problem.  The worst part of all of this is that every single thing she says or writes is untrue.  We have caught her in several lies including today. She was invoiced and she claimed she never received it.  However, the software clearly showed the date and time she looked at it.  She literally just ignored the truth.  Yes, I am venting but I have a great deal of trouble with people who lie. When I was growing up the truth was tantamount.  Now it seems it just doesn’t matter.  Not to mention that this client wants us to take the blame for her mistake.  People are doing this on a daily basis.  Women who have had their husbands lie to them while cheating understand this really well.  There are continual videos on Facebook about this very topic. Once a child learns how to lie, it is very difficult to break that habit.  If they continue as an adult, they usually end up being those shifty salespeople who cheat others.  This is true in many fields including loans, mortgages, car sales, and the ads you see on Facebook where they claim something is one price and then it automatically increases over one hundred percent at the checkout.  I have seen that with cosmetic products.  In the Good Gus series, the truth was an essential  part of all stories again as an underlying theme. It is readily available in paperback and e-book form. One of the reasons I wrote “Misplaced Trust” was because I continually watched people lie and cheat not only their families, but the law office and just about anyone they could deceive.  It might be a good read over the week-end. It is available in e-book form. The Good Gus Series is available online at Kindle, Nook and Waterstones. Hard copies, personally autographed, are available through our website www.goodgusbooks.com along with past blogs for your reading enjoyment. Now available audio and videos for the Good Gus series on YouTube! Digitizing for all the books are available now on YouTube! “Misplaced Trust” is now available on Amazon in e-book form. It is also available digitally at www.misplacedtrustbook.com. If you are thinking of a Will or a Living Trust, “Misplaced Trust” with a five star rating on Amazon will give you the information you need to make an informed decision.
