Going Broke

In the world today, people are going broke primarily due to inflation.  When you look up products online that you may have purchased six months ago or even one month ago the prices have risen. It does not seem like much, but fifty cents here, five dollars or Euros there and you are rearranging your purchases.  A number of people are also struggling due to the increase in costs for electricity, water, taxes of all types including auto, property, sewer, etc. The jobs are decreasing even though they say everything is looking wonderful.  People are quitting and not even showing up. It doesn’t even matter what the job is they just can’t be bothered. There are always schemes on the internet to get rich quick, but the only people getting rich are the purveyors of said schemes. Many individuals live beyond their means and then quietly go broke. They use their credit cards to live and before they realize it, they can no longer pay their bills. You often see this as a storyline on TV shows.  The people either end up doing a huge scheme and stealing from others and then disappear to a country that does not honor extradition, or they sell off everything and move in with family.  There are times in all of our lives that we had to just start over.  It is never ideal. Selling off personal possessions to start fresh sometimes is the best way.  It beats being foreclosed or evicted and having your vehicles towed away. I remember an old episode of  “Matlock” which describes this to perfection.
