Accommodate

There are so many people now who feel that they should be accommodated on almost everything in life.  I have seen videos on the internet about individuals on airplanes making demands.  Not only that, they have made scenes and some have actually been arrested.  People watching these occurrences have videotaped on their phones and then posted them on Tik Toc, Facebook, Instagram and any and all other media.  One woman after causing a huge scene on a plane was furious that her overreaction was posted on social media.  She now claims her life is ruined.  Wouldn’t it have been much better to think before speaking and acting? In the course of my life I have met numerous people who felt that whatever they wanted, whatever their needs were that they should be accommodated.  I disagree.  People need to be responsible for themselves and their actions.  They have this attitude that they are more important so therefore, others should bow down to their wishes and desires.  The answer to any and all of that is a resounding NO.  The lost of respect towards others and the expectation of many individuals fails to account for the reality of life and fairness towards others. Often on Facebook there are videos about people in restaurants.  The patron assumes and expects to be accommodated above and beyond when in reality they are no different than anyone else.  I think it is the attitude they project that is so demanding and annoying. I am sure anyone reading this blog has met with great disdain people of this nature.  I think the best thing is to not associate with this type of person, don’t you agree?
