Cheating

the special gift

Cheating comes easy to a number of people.  I am writing about this because we have a client whose middle name should be cheater.  She has harassed me for the past two weeks over the medical system in California, namely Medi-Cal.  The rules are very specific and they have an entire website devoted to this.  In addition, she claimed she called Medi-Cal and they told her find an attorney.  Sadly, the reality is that with Medi-Cal you cannot have the state pay for medical services if you own property because when you pass you are forced to pay the state whatever medical services they provided.  It is clear that she didn’t like any of the answers.  I repeatedly told her I could not give her legal advice.  In addition, the clients have a home that they have transferred back and forth over the past two decades.  What this all boils down to is this.  She wants the state to pay.  Once of the reasons I wrote “Misplaced Trust” is because cheating appears to be the norm whether a person is alive or not.  Personal goals aside what about the people who have paid for insurance to cover their bills and then used their own money to pay all of their medical expenses?  People make choices in life.  If cheating is their forte’, then guess what, somewhere down the road they will be caught. I know people say karma will appear.  Unfortunately, I do know people that karma simply skips and they do continue to lie, cheat and steal from the system.  In the Good Gus series, there was absolutely no cheating.  All the stories give a positive example of good behavior, morals and manners. The Good Gus Series is available online at Kindle, Nook and Waterstones. Hard copies, personally autographed, are available through our website www.goodgusbooks.com along with past blogs for your reading enjoyment. Digitizing for all the books will be ready next week! Please consider adding “The Special Gift” as a new Christmas tradition. Books one and two are now available along with “The Special Gift” on the Tractor Supply website.
