In life we frequently believe in people. It is simply a matter of trust. Unfortunately, we make serious mistakes by having faith in people who end up betraying you. For example, when a contractor bids on repairs to your home you think he will do the right thing, keep his word and do a good job. You put your trust into him. Sadly, they lie and you end up with shoddy repairs, half finished work before disappearing, or demands for additional money to finish the work. You start out believing and thinking that it will all work out and then it doesn’t. This is also true when buying a used car. One day while my son was attending college in America he was working at an auto repair shop part time. A woman came in for a new set of tires as the shop also sold tires. She was going on a long trip and wanted to ensure her tires would not cause her to break down. When the car was put on the lift, my son looked it over, called his supervisor who confirmed that this woman had been sold a lemon. The used car dealership had fixed it just enough to make it run for a short period. As she had only purchased it an hour previously, my son told her to take it back and get her old car. Once he explained to her everything that was wrong with her purchase she left immediately. For this woman it was simply a matter of trust unfortunately in the wrong person.
