Cheap

We often meet people in life who are simply cheap.  They want the best for the lowest price, which we all do, but their methods are frequently unusual.  For example, many people buy the generic brand of products at the grocery even if they don’t taste very good.  Not all brand names are perfect, but neither are the generic.  People need to realize that they are being cheap with their health.  I know a person who does not drink bottled or filtered water.  He thinks tap water is fine.  There was just an article about the number of chemicals in tap water.  I personally like reverse osmosis.  It is an excellent product.  My late husband even had it in our office when we actually had a brick and motar facility.  Even then I did not always go to the office.  I still have one in my home today.  If a person is cheap about their clothing they need to stop and consider the practicality of buying quality.  The cheap wears out quickly and often looks terrible after only a few washes.  Quality clothing lasts longer and looks better.  My late husband had a friend, Walter, who was unbelievably cheap. It always cost him in the end but he never looked at it that way.  Many people who are obsessed with money are exceedingly cheap.  They buy the cheapest homes, cars, clothes, foods, etc.  They believe they are frugal but they are really making themselves look foolish. Narcissists are also in this category.  They will spend on themselves but no one else including their families.  They still do not buy the best quality but they will spend extra money on themselves.  The people who live on a tight budget often shop at thrift shops.  They buy the quality clothes to help them look successful so that eventually they will progress and move forward.  The old say, “Dress for Success” still applies today, don’t you agree?
