Remake

Often people who are unhappy with their lives remake themselves.  They change their names, move to a new area, put together a fake CV or resume and start over.  If you are starting over and moving why remake yourself?  There is usually a reason such as hiding from something, a crime, or even distance themselves from their family or possible unsavory activity. When a person decides to change the smart move is to truly think it over.  You can change your hair, your clothes, your location and even your job but inside you are the same.  If a person wishes to remake themselves they need to start from within.  Then they can work their way to the exterior.  In the movie and TV industry often older shows that were quite successful are now being remade.  The cast has been changed, but the storylines are quite similiar.  They appear, for the most part, to be a success. There have also been several remakes of movies such as “The Parent Trap,” “Cinderella,” just to name a few.  There are times when a business is going steadily downhill that they decide to completely restructure.  However, if they change too much they lose the loyal custumers that they did have.  Often when people revise their appearance they are hoping for a change.  Do you ever wonder why people get facelifts, body sculpting,  change the color of their hair or the style, their fashion, and focus on making a new personality?  I have seen this in many TV shows and it was usually a woman seeking a man or vice versa.  It never worked out.  We are who we are and it is better to accept it and figure out what we should do to become happy.  The reality is that all the changes people make to themselves usually boils down to the fact that they are unhappy.  Learning how to live with ourselves and our lives takes work but it is always worth it in the end don’t you agree? The Good Gus Series is available online at Kindle, Nook and Waterstones.
