Unfair Attorneys

In my experience as a paralegal, I have met a fair number of unfair attorneys over the years.  I have also met and know many fine ones as well.  Let me give you a few examples.  Last year I did work for a woman before she went on holiday to Spain. The work was approved by the attorney and he interviewed her as well.  Once she went away, her sons took her trust to a new attorney and for one and one half times the amount she paid for her original work, an unfair attorney who is siding with her sons is changing her trust. The woman is eighty-seven and the sons are using undue pressure to force her to change documents that were in perfectly good order. The sons were not being cheated in any way yet between their lying and the unfair attorney’s lying they will now remove their sister who does take care of their mother as a beneficiary.  Another example is an attorney that I worked with who literally cheated Miss Patty and me out of over eight hundred dollars or eight hundred severy-seven Euros. He has since been disbarred. You would think that unfair attorneys will take into account that people do good work and that is why they live in extremeley expensive neighborhoods, drive luxury vehicles and go on fabulous holidays.  Apprently it is all about them and not the people who actually do their work. One more story.  There was an attorney that decided he could easily cheat others and no one would be the wiser. He bacially embezzled over one million dollars or one million ninety-five thousand eight hundred Euros from an older woman.  He had two accomplices. None of the people went to jail and they didn’t give the money back.  The system is certainly unjust. The unfair attorneys manage to live a life of luxury and the people who do the work often are paid not nearly enough to come close to that life style. Do you think this is right or fair? The Good Gus Series is available online at Kindle, Nook and Waterstones.
